The Uganda Securities Exchange... I get a kick out of it!

Uganda Securities Exchange turnover was sh2.2m in the week to Thursday due to trading at three counters, reports Peter Kaujju. Uganda Clays had sh1.7m after trading 220 shares at sh8,000 each, while DFCU had sh0.3m after trading 1,041 shares at sh310 each. New Vision recorded sh151,900 after trading 620 shares at sh245 each on Tuesday. There was no activity on the seven counters yesterday, like last Thursday. British American Tobacco’s share price was the same as last Thursday at sh1,145. Baroda’s shares were at sh800, while East African Breweries’ share price gained by sh2 to close at sh2,408. Kenya Airways’ share price slipped by sh10 to sh438. Ends"

N.B.: Applying the exchange rate, which is roughly 2.000 UGX/EUR, there was a turnover of 1.000 EUR this week. Hm... here you can move the markets without a big fortune.
