Finally found an answer

The decision, whether I want to stay or to go is made[1]. I guess it is time to move on – or shall I rather say “back”? I like “to go back”. So, I will definitely go back to Uganda and maybe in a few years’ time even to this kind of business. Who knows? But when I consider my thoughts from a few months ago, I have to conclude that certain things are still valid.

I am not the right person for this job. I am questioning the adequacy of certain projects, I am cynical, I am demanding justice in case where political reasoning has to be applied, I cannot see suffering people and so on and so on.

So, it is good to go back. I have enjoyed doing something completely different – which reflects my nature: I am interested in many things and I like to try out new things. The job has been interesting, the experiences in Uganda great… Oh, I sound as if I would leave tomorrow…

By the way, I even learned to cope with situations like this one… I have been waiting for 30 minutes for a person to show up for a scheduled meeting…

[1] Admittedly, with the help of some outside factors. Why is politics so complicated and why is there so much red tape in German ministries? This is sometimes just unprofessional.
